From
June 2007, it will become mandatory
for every property to have a
Home Condition Report (HCR)
before being put on the market.
The HCR will be a thorough and
independent report of the condition
of the property that can be
utilised by prospective buyers.
It will be written in plain
English in a standard format
and will clarify the overall
condition of the property taking
into account the age, character
and location; how energy efficient
it is and also any defects or
other issues requiring attention.
The HCR will be included in
the Home Information Pack.
